Quick answer

Level 5 opens fast (three bursts inside ten seconds, score to 700), goes quiet for eighteen seconds while you reposition, then closes with two endgame bursts to 1,250. The plateau is normal, not a stuck board.

Level 5 wave map.

Opening wave · 1:09–1:19 ★ 2s ±2s Three bursts inside ten seconds

Six colors on the opening board: orange and cyan clear out first, 0 → 200 (≈1:13) → 500 (≈1:15) → 700 (≈1:19). The remaining board is red, green, blue and purple.

The quiet middle · 1:21–1:39 ★ 2s ±2s Eighteen seconds with zero points, and that is fine

Between ≈1:21 and ≈1:39 the score does not move. The board keeps reshaping as segments rotate, but nothing closes. This is the first level that asks you to set up two loops at once. The quiet stretch is positioning, not being stuck.

Endgame · 1:41–1:43 ★ 2s ±2s Two bursts finish it: 1,250

The patient setup pays: 700 → 850 (≈1:41) → 1,250 (≈1:43) and the board empties into the squirrel celebration.

What Level 5 asks of you.

Six colors open the board, and orange plus cyan are cleared out inside the first ten seconds: 0 to 200 (≈1:13), 500 (≈1:15), 700 (≈1:19), leaving red, green, blue and purple behind to carry the rest of the level on their own. Then the level goes deliberately quiet. From ≈1:21 to ≈1:39 the counter does not move at all: eighteen seconds in which segments keep rotating, the board keeps reshaping, and nothing closes. The finish is abrupt by comparison: 700 to 850 (≈1:41), then 1,250 (≈1:43), and the board empties into the squirrel celebration with no further waves.

Treat that flat stretch as work rather than as failure. This is the first board that wants two loops lined up at once, so spend the quiet seconds positioning the last four colors instead of forcing a pop that is not ready yet. Watch the clock instead of the counter during that stretch, because the only progress available for eighteen seconds is a better position.

FAQ.

How do you beat Rotate Rings Level 5?

Clear the orange and cyan loops fast (score 700 by ≈1:19), accept the long quiet middle while you line up the rest, then close the final two bursts for 1,250.

Why does nothing pop in the middle of Level 5?

The middle plateau (≈1:21–1:39 in our run) is positioning: the remaining loops share segments, so you rotate several pieces before any single loop closes. Nothing is broken — the verified run sat at 700 for eighteen seconds.

What score does Rotate Rings Level 5 give?

1,250 in our verified run.
