Quick answer

Level 8 is the booster level: a fixed full red ring and a full purple ring block the board, the player opens with the hammer (“Tap any object to smash it”), then seven waves (including both fixed rings bursting) land 2,900.

Read the board · ≈2:35 ★ 2s ±2s Two fixed full rings, and a hammer opening

Level 8 debuts whole fixed rings as board furniture: a full red ring top right and a full purple ring bottom center. The player immediately reaches for the hammer booster. The screen dims, “Tap any object to smash it” appears, and two segments (a red and an orange) are smashed away by ≈2:39.

Waves 1–2 · 2:51–2:53 ★ 2s ±2s The fixed rings burst: “Great!”

At ≈2:51 a chain reaction pops the fixed red ring along with orange, blue, cyan, green and purple segments (0 → 29). A second wave at ≈2:53 clears the fixed purple ring and more, 29 → 650 with a “Great!”. Fixed rings do burst once their surrounding loops clear.

Waves 3–7 · 2:57–3:07 ★ 2s ±2s Five more waves to 2,500+

The cleanup runs 650 → 899 (≈2:57) → 1,200 → 1,700 → 2,000 → 2,500 (≈3:07), with a closing “Great!” taking the “You Did It!” screen to 2,900 at ≈3:10.

What Level 8 asks of you.

Two whole rings, red top right and purple bottom center, are bolted to this board, and the first thing the run does is reach for the hammer: the screen dims, “Tap any object to smash it” appears at ≈2:37, and a red plus an orange segment are gone by ≈2:39. Those fixed rings look permanent and are not. A chain at ≈2:51 pops the red ring along with orange, blue, cyan, green and purple, and two seconds later the purple ring follows, taking the score to 650 under a “Great!”. Cleanup runs 899, 1,200, 1,700, 2,000, 2,500, and the “You Did It!” screen reads 2,900.

Opening with the hammer is a legitimate read of this board rather than a panic move. It strips clutter before a single loop exists. Just keep in mind that the anchors still have to be burst in the end, not protected.

FAQ.

Should I use the hammer in Rotate Rings Level 8?

Our verified run did — right at the start (≈2:37), smashing two awkward segments before solving the board. The hammer removes one piece you choose; using it early to unblock routes is a legitimate line, not a failure.

Do the fixed full rings ever clear?

Yes — they burst as part of chain reactions once surrounding loops clear (both the red and purple fixed rings pop at ≈2:51–2:53 in our run). They never turn on their own.

What score does Rotate Rings Level 8 give?

2,900 on the You Did It! screen in our run (score ladder read to 2,500 in-level, then the closing Great!).
