What makes Level 13 tricky.
The first ten moves are cleaning, and they read as one long errand: bathroom door, mop, two piles of trash, dirty clothes, cockroach, fairy lights, dishes, air freshener, cake. Then the level changes subject without warning. Steps 11 to 13 are clicks on three men in a black vest, a blue jacket and a white shirt, and steps 14 to 16 drag those same three men under the table in that same order. A click is not a drag and a drag is not a click, so the men sit there looking like scenery for anyone who is still working the sofa.
Two of the moves are spelled almost the same. There is trash near the bathroom and trash near the table, and each pile is its own drag to the same can, steps 3 and 4. Miss one and the room looks clean while the level refuses to close. The fairy lights are the strange one: their target is the toilet, not a hook or a wall, so nothing in the scene frames them as bathroom decor until the move is already done. The cake at step 10 is feeding the kitten rather than tidying anything, which is the first hint that the errand has ended.
Mom is home in the title and the men are the reason for the last seven moves: they go under the table, and the banner goes onto that same table at step 17 as the final move of the level. It is the only decoration in the list, and it is aimed at furniture rather than at a person or a mess. Watch the sofa and the table rather than the floor, because the clothes sit on the sofa, the dishes sit on the table, and the two trash piles are the only pair in the room that share a name. - The bathroom door, step 1. A swipe to the left; the mop behind it is unreachable until the door has moved.
- The two trash piles, steps 3 and 4. Near the bathroom and near the table are separate objects going into the same can.
- The insecticide, step 6. It goes onto the cockroach, not onto the floor or the wall behind it.
- The fairy lights, step 7. The target is the toilet, which is the one placement in the level that raises an eyebrow.
- The three men, steps 11 to 13. Black vest, blue jacket, white shirt, one click each.
- The same three men, steps 14 to 16. Drag them under the table in the same order the clicks used.
- The banner, step 17. The last move, and the only thing in the level that is not mess, food or furniture.
