What makes Level 44 tricky.

Twenty-one moves, and twelve of them end at the parrot. The other nine never touch Polly: they unlock the twelve. That ratio is the level, because most of the work goes into getting a cookie somewhere it can be handed over from. The four cards run six, five, five and five, so the deliveries thin out as the setups get longer.

The chains are short and each one is spelled out in the next card. Cheese to the mouse hole at step 4, and step 5 takes the cookie the mouse dropped. The tooth goes to the tooth fairy in the painting at step 6, and step 7 takes the cookie she leaves. Dough to the oven at step 8, baked cookie out at step 9. The cabinet is double-tapped at step 10 and the cookie inside it leaves at step 11. The broom reaches the broken cookie at step 12 and the fixed cookie goes to the parrot at step 13. Every one of those pairs puts a prop in place and then collects what it produces.

Two set pieces repeat. The broom is used twice, first on the broken cookie at step 12 and again on the spilled trash at step 16, after the trash can is clicked at step 15 and the cleaned cookie is collected at step 17. The last four moves change verbs. Step 18 flips the light switch, step 19 drags the cookie off the light bulb, step 20 turns on the faucet and step 21 drags the cookie out of the sink. The gingerbread man at step 14 is a cookie in its own right, walked to the parrot like the rest, and the tooth fairy is the only recipient besides Polly who is a person rather than a container. The sink is the last container in the kitchen to give up a cookie.

Twelve cookies to one parrot.

Every cookie in this level needs its setup move first:

Nine setups and twelve deliveries, and the kitchen only stalls when a setup move is skipped or the broom is treated as spent.

Why does nothing happen when I tap in Level 44?

Most moves are drags or moves onto a named target, but step 10 is a double-tap on the cabinet, step 15 a click on the trash can, step 18 a flip of the light switch and step 20 a turn of the faucet, so a tap that does nothing is the wrong gesture.

Is this Level 44 walkthrough up to date?

This order matches the current build, where the kitchen sits at level 44; the number shifts when a scene is inserted earlier, so older clips count the same parrot differently.
