The clip is worth watching for the two cards that skip the mummy: the sweet potato going into the mouse hole, and the stick going into the pillar slot at the end.
Level 39 walkthrough: every move in order.
Drag the talisman on the wall to the mummy; then Drag the cat on the mural to the mummy; then Drag the fan to the mummy; then Tap the backpack
Drag the sweet potato from the bag to the mouse hole; then Drag the cross to the mummy; then Drag the taser from the bag to the mummy; then Double-tap the sunflower
Drag the sun to the mummy; then Drag the whistle to the girl; then Drag the scarab to the mummy; then Drag the girl's shoe to the mummy
Drag the match to the torch; then Drag the torch to the mummy; then Drag the stick from the girl's hand to the mechanism slot on the pillar; then Swipe down on the stick
What makes Level 39 tricky.
Nine of the sixteen cards end on the mummy. Of the seven that do not, three are where runs stall: step 5 sends the sweet potato from the bag into the mouse hole, step 10 sends the whistle to the girl, and steps 15 and 16 turn the stick into a pillar mechanism. A run that has been treating the mummy as the universal drop target will drag the sweet potato at it, get nothing, and write the bag off as decoration: even though the taser at step 7 comes out of the same bag a moment later.
That single backpack tap (4) feeds cards five and seven, which is far enough apart to forget. Two more pairs run in lockstep: the match goes to the torch (13) and the torch goes to the mummy (14); the sunflower is double-tapped (8) before the sun can be dragged (9). Neither pair works backwards, and neither is labelled as a pair, so they read as four independent drags on the cards. The torch pair hides a whole move, because lighting it is not the same as using it.
Most of the inventory is not lying on the floor. A talisman hangs on the wall, the cat is painted on a mural, the cross, the fan and the scarab sit around the room rather than in the bag, and the girl's own shoe is still on her foot (12). A run that scans the ground for loose props finds the backpack and stops looking. The level also finishes away from the mummy (steps 15 and 16 are a slot on the pillar and a downward swipe), so the mummy can look settled while the level is two cards short. The order is the level; the FAQ restates it in a sentence.
Three targets and three gates.
Three cards send their item somewhere other than the mummy. Three more have to happen before an item is usable:
- The sweet potato (5) goes into the mouse hole, not onto the mummy.
- The whistle (10) goes to the girl.
- The stick (15) goes into the mechanism slot on the pillar, then swipe down (16).
- The backpack tap (4) supplies both the sweet potato (5) and the taser (7).
- Match to torch (13) before torch to mummy (14).
- Double-tap the sunflower (8) before the sun can leave it (9).
Three are about where an item goes and three about what has to happen first, and the three targets all sit late enough in the list to be missed.

Why does nothing happen when I tap in Level 39?
Three cards in Level 39 are not drags — the tap that opens the backpack at step 4, the double-tap on the sunflower at step 8, and the downward swipe on the stick at step 16 — which is why pressing the mummy does nothing.
Is this Level 39 walkthrough up to date?
Yes — all sixteen moves follow the current build, from the talisman on the wall to the swipe down on the stick, and older guides can sit a level or two off because inserted levels shift the numbering.
